I'm so depressed about college

I have a 2.63 GPA and that will lower because of this semester. I'm in my sophomore year and I lost a scholarship and going to be losing another one because of this semester because I can't get my GPA above a 3.0 before the end of spring term.

Luckily though my parents are poor (we make less than 30k) so financial aid is basically paying for my college. However, I still feel guilty even though the gov't is milking my education.

However, I'm so depressed because I KNOW I could of gotten way above a 3.5 and not have to worry about all this unnecessary stress. And the fact that I'm making my parents sad. I love my parents and I don't like making them sad and worry.

Fortunately, I'm going to be doing Teach for America and then become a high school teacher.

However... I still can't feel stressed. Ugh. Help?

I have a 2.65 GPA and I'm still in somewhere. Heard back from 2 of 10 schools and I'm in to them.

Just do a lot of extracurriculars and volunteer.
My GPA is as low as it is because I'm so lazy. :P

Well it's perfectly normal that you feel disappointed about your performance in school and that's causing you anxiety. Frankly the only way to overcome it is accepting that you could have done better and that from now on there's only room for improvement!

That is true... heh, I guess that does make me feel better.

At least my transcript will look good because they see how greatly I improved...

I'm sorta with you, even though it's only my freshman year.  The Army was paying for my tuition (I go to a private school, so it's expensive as hell)  but after a long look at the situation, I decided to drop ROTC.  Now I'm seriously entertaining the idea of just dropping out and working for a semester or two, maybe getting a few community college credits on the side, finishing up learning Spanish, something like that.  So don't be sad, it could be worse; you could owe 16k to the Army, like I do!     You should probably get a hobby of some sort.  That's always helped me with my classes, for some odd reason.  Good Luck!

Its not about how long you study.  Its about how effectively you study.

This. And some people actually have expectations of themselves and don't want to just get by.
