Hi Everyone,

I've written novels for the past few years, but only recently, today in fact, did my first novel finally get published! I'm so excited about it, and would love for you all to get to read it. For more information on the story & to order a copy, go to www.sierryahdaniels.com.

Thanks so much.

In 2007, in Boston, Massachusetts, museum tour guide Lyle McDermott discovers the body of a young girl while fishing in the Atlantic. The body bears an uncanny resemblance to Sierryah Daniels, the subject of a painting that hangs in the museum where he works. But how could that be?  Sierryah was burned at the stake in 1661 after being accused of witchcraft.

And even though the girl's burned hands and feet show ligature wounds, leading Lyle to believe his suspicions might be true, there are still many unanswered questions. Sierryah has been dead for nearly three hundred and fifty years! How would her body end up floating in the middle of the Atlantic?

The Legend of Sierryah Daniels, the debut novel from Josh Lawdermilt, takes readers on a journey exploring the bizarre circumstances surrounding Sierryah's death. You will find that no matter what horrors Sierryah had to face, God was there with her, guiding her every step of the way. Unravel the mystery along with Lyle and discover how Sierryah managed to return to the present day, waiting for her story to be told.

Sierryah isn't really the most 17th century name ever, though congrats on being published. Who's your publishing house?

I know it's not, but it's unique, and the character's unique, so it works out okay! It's a publisher called Crossbooks.

Mm, I disagree. If you're writing something that's got an element of historical fiction to it, you should at least make a valiant effort at being accurate instead of choosing a character name because it "sounds neat."

ok. but everyone except the main character has more "accurate" names. As I said, the character is very unique in terms of her relation to the storyline, hence the unique spelling and "less accurate-ness"

The thing is that you can find unique names that would make sense in the 17th century without having to resort to some modern tripe like "Sierryah."

it seems that crossbooks is just another way of self publishing rather than having your novel approved. Typically requiring a financial commitment and for you to order the books.

anyone could do that.
