Why do fat girls sit out of gym?

Theres the REALLY big girl in my gym class, and I'm chubby so when i say she's big I don't say it lightly. She has to be at least 300 pounds, her arm is the size of one of my thighs, and she can't even really sit upright because he stomache gets in the way.

What I want to know is, why does she sit out of gym? She usually just sits in the corner doing her make-up or whatever. I mean, I'm not trying to be mean but, she is really big, and unhealthy. Why would she skip the one class that can actually help her with her problem? I just don't get it...

Laziness?

More likely, she's very self-conscious of herself and doesn't like the idea of having to wear small gym clothes and do physical activity.

Maybe she has a blood-pressure problem, or is too embarrassed to actually do anything?

Gym around here is an optional class, and there's STILL people like that in the classes. I'm so confused by it.

Because she is self conscious. I am not fat, but not skinny either. I have nice curves, but when I was younger I sat out in gym because I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of guys... and I also sat out when I was on my period.
