Holy F#$%.  Last night, I'm pretty sure I had my first run in with Sleep Paralysis.  It was the single most terrifying moment of my life.  Here's the story...

I realize that I'm awake, but that I have no control over my perception. It was like I was lucid and conscious, but at the same time I was dreaming, and couldn't control my consciousness.  I know I'm sitting in my bunk, but I feel like I'm laying on the ground, in a very confined space and I had something important in my hand.  When I dropped it, or perceived that I dropped it, I tried to get up to pick it up... but I couldn't.  I realized that I couldn't move at all.

At this point, I freaked the fuck out. When I couldn't move,  I thought I heard my roommates yelling in their sleep for me to move away from whatever they were terrified of.  I even started to yell because I was so fucking panicked, but I couldn't make any sound come out.  After a few seconds of complete paralysis and terror, all of a sudden my roommates stopped yelling, my perception cleared, and I was able to bolt upright.

Jesus, that was insane.  Had to write it down somewhere.

I've kind of had the same thing. But it was a cross sleep walking episode.

Once I've had it over 10 times in one night. It was annoying and scary at the same time.

That's ridiculous.  How is it that, after you find out that sleep paralysis is a pretty common experience, you found it as a religious experience?

I love SP. One time I had something whispering really loud in my ear and it told me I was gonna die.
