I have been abusing "downers" for a bit now. But I am not addicted, I don't know why I do it. My husband is a corrections officer and works 12 hour shifts.... 5 days a week. I am basically a stay-at-home wife.
I just want time to go by and want to sleep it away. I get medicine prescribed to me all the time because I am sick with "female problems"....
What should I do?

If we're talking narcotic opiates, I recommend slowly tapering off your dosage. Each day, try to reduce what you're taking by just a bit. This may involve cutting pills in half. That should make withdrawal symptoms more tolerable, although I imagine they'll still be noticable.

No, downers are something that basically like make you slow down. Your body, blood flow, ect. Like weed. Oposite of seomthing like acid.
