About 3 months ago, I was raped. I've gotten over it, and it's in my past. I have an amazing boyfriend who treats me wonderfully. He asked me if I was a virgin, though. I have no problem with him asking, I just don't know how to answer. I never had sex until I got raped, but it's so hard to talk about. What do I do? We are planning on having sex this weekend....

It's honestly up to you. If you feel comfortable enough telling him what happened then by all means, tell him. But if you don't feel like going into it or feel he doesn't need to know then that's also fine. I know I'm not giving up much of a great answer here, but whatever you tell him will be fine. Whatever you feel most comfortable with.

I know a lot of people choose to deal with it in different ways when it comes to future boyfriends. Some people I know don't feel the need to tell them at all, which I've also done, whilst other feel it's important to discuss previous abuse of any sort.

What would you feel most comfortable saying to him? If you feel that you would like to tell him but are worried because it's so hard to talk about (which is completely understandable), then try and take it slow. Say only what you feel comfortable with and if you don't want to talk about it any further then tell him this! I'm absolutely sure he'll respect your wishes and understand that you can only say so much, y'know? Telling someone something so personal is always going to be difficult and is always going to take a lot out of you. You might feel all the better after you've done it, who knows.

Thanks. I'm still really thinking about this. I know if I do tell him, he'll just love me and care for me even more. He's so respectful, and that's what I love about him.
